An Indiana firm offering 209000 capital seeks a superintendent with a generous salary and a required investment of 1500 to 2000 dollars. Investment must be safe and the candidate well recommended, with address at No 39-ale-at. A representative appeared before the Town Board Friday proposing electric lights and water works, with the board leaning toward paying existing bonds before new indebtedness. Morton Marson of Cambridge City fills the vacancy from Sam McCarty at W. H. Sharer’s, bringing long hardware experience and expected satisfaction. The Carthage Building Loan and Saving Association met last week for reorganization. Jesse Henley resigned due to lack of time. Directors elected were Jesse Stone D W Kirkwood J F Tweedy D W Righter and Jesse Henley. President O W Righter Vice President J F Tweedy Treasurer O W Kirkwood Secretary C L Stinger.

OAI members of the G. A. R. Post the flower committee and citizens are asked to meet in the I. O. O. F. hall next Friday at 7 30 a m for preparations to decorate the soldiers graves in this vicinity.
Mrs William Dill and Mrs Mary Katherine Clinton hosted a reception yesterday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Dill country seat. Guests from three churches enjoyed flower parades, pink and white rose decorations, and prizes for guessing flowers. Mrs Frank Porter won first prize of popcorn, while Mrs Morton Barber took the booby prize eggs. Refreshments included Neapolitan cream wafers and coffee, and the event aided church missionary work.
