Sunday School and League Schedules At Local Church
Sunday School convened at 9 15 with 95 in attendance and a collection of 1783 dollars. The morning service followed with a forcible sermon from Acts 20 24. The Junior League met at 2 30 with 25 members and the Senior League at 6. Mrs Johnson led the meeting. An evening talk covered General Harrison life. Monday March 25 witnesses a Missionary Rally with 3 pm and 7 pm services and Rev G R Davis recounting Pekin siege after a China mission.

Birthday Social Honors Oldest Jackson Township Settler
All indebted parties are urged to settle promptly. On March 9th, Mrs Anna Ratliff celebrated her 84th birthday with her children gathering at her home, a long held custom in the county. She and her husband settled on a Jackson township farm, she retains the original government deed, his death left her and daughter Miss Mary in town among many friends. Mrs Ratliff is sister to Miss Martha Small and Mrs Nancy Manley.

High School Trip to Straw Board Works Observes Dynamo
Conducted by Prof. J. H. Scholl the physics class toured the straw board works Friday afternoon to observe the dynamo in operation. Thanks extended to Mr. E. N. Hill and the employees for assistance. Miss Frma McCarty returns to school. Ida Ludlow visited Lafayette home over the weekend. New horizontal bar in the gym pleases the high school boys. Junior class enjoyed a taffy pull at Amos Gates sugar camp Monday evening, sophomores at How ard Parker's home the same night. W. P. Henley visited Tuesday afternoon. The school will present a program at the Anti-Saloon League meeting on March 13.
