A sumptuous dinner was served and all had an enjoyable time. A series of meetings are being held at the C A chapel under Reys Winfrey and Vanderman. Mrs Mary Beeson of Western Grove died at her home Friday morning funeral held at Western Grove church last Sunday interment in Westland cemetery. Mr Kirk of Kennard is guest of J B Smith. Sammy Jones of Ohio is visiting his daughter in law Annie Jones of this place. Misses Mattie Wiggins and Teresa Case escaped with a bad fright from a sleigh accident Thursday when sleigh runners spread. Several from this place saw the fire at the Greenfield lumber and ice plant Friday night.

The Sunday School drew 114 attendees with a 3.54 collection. New faces joined as Rev. Brown led a lesson review. Presiding Elder F S Tincher preached a fine morning sermon to a large audience. The Lord's Supper was administered and evening service featured Rev Brown in a sermon titled The Spiritual Tramp.

The churches of Carthage plan union evangelistic services inviting all Christian people to pray and join. A large chorus from all churches will lead singing. The Sabbath program starts with a 2 30 open meeting and conference on Christian work, with evening services at 7 at the Friends church.

A Hundred Years Old Widow Moves Homes in Winter Surge

Mary B. Cobb aged 100, widow of the War of 1812 and daughter of the Revolution, moved from New London to Russiaville amid a freezing storm in Indiana. She crossed two townships, her last child had died recently, and she now lives with a 69 year old grandson. She spent 80 years in one house and is step great grandmother to Col. W. J. Bryan.
