Grant Powell Accused in Shooting Case
A Rushville dispatch to the Indianapolis Journal reports Grant Powell is charged with shooting with intent to kill Mrs Ruby Powell and Wm Searcy of Jackson township. The preliminary hearing is deferred while Mrs Powell’s injuries are assessed. Powell’s lawyers and farmer relatives back him amid a history of lenient verdicts in the Rush Circuit Court.
