Narrow escape from lunatic gunman on Dublin farm
Charles Henby narrowly escaped being shot by Ellis Penroy a former asylum inmate who rampaged on the Dublin area farm last Wednesday He fired striking Mr Henby in the eye sight threatened Mrs Henby and Mrs Cox before retreating Penroy fled after reloading was captured near Richmond by Sheriff Larsh and returned to the asylum after a prior furlough following an escape from the Eastern Indiana Hospital for the Insane.

First Woman Rider On Rail Line Across Alleghenies
Mrs Julian of Warsaw became the first woman to ride a railroad on this side of the Alleghenies. President Thomson of the Pennsylvania Road sent her a pass to New York and return. A large crowd gathered Tuesday at Owen S Henley’s Grove for the Hill and Henley reunion with over 350 attendees from Madison, Jay, Henry, Fayette, Decatur, Marion and nearby counties. The day featured a simple go as you please program, noon dinner, children at a separate table, games, and reminiscing.
