An Ohio editor was dismissed from his church after loudly singing a version of a familiar hymn that substituted the words Let every kindred, every tribe on this terrestrial ball, put down their dollars and subscribe, and we'll receipt for all, prompting disciplinary action.
Money in it. By the sale of a lot of beef cattle, a semi annual 5% dividend has been earned and declared by the Rio Tamasopo Sugar Company, dividends payable September first. Subscriptions for purchase of $100 bonds, cash or payments, will be received today by L. R. Hastings, Record office or L. R Wooten at grocery.
A Winona excursion on Thursday drew attendees listed as Misses Hazel Coffin Jean Coffin Winona Newsom Rema Stone Oma Minor Viatrice Stinger and Messrs Ben Norris Will and Earle Norris Henry Slinshaw Creiz Coffin Edwin Gates Willie Rolin Russel Publow Rupert Stanley and Ezekiel Coffin to hear the Italian band.
The White Ribbon section of Class No 8 hosted the Red Ribbon section for a Tuesday banquet at Newsom's Hall. Hall decor featured maple and beech branches with red and white bunting. a red and white shield centerpiece read Class No 8. Guests played games and then enjoyed refreshments. the Red Ribboners praised the Whites for superior entertaining.
The record shows the state authorized charging off extra labor to the Indiana Manufacturing Company to April 1 while the company releases the state from heating inmates dining room, with 60 days of labor not exceeding prior levels. The board lacked written authority and officers failed to provide full bills or counts of labor and payments.

A dispersion sale on August 19 1903 at O W Righters farm near Carthage 2 miles northeast and 3 miles southwest of Knightstown begins at 10 a m. Items include farm implements hogs cattle and horses with 6 percent cash discount and credit to Sept 1 1904. Auctioneers M F Lovett and Wm Paulley.
The church announces Sunday service at 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Junior League meets at 2:45 p.m. Senior League at 6:30 p.m. Midweek prayer is Thursday at 7:00 p.m. A cordial invitation is extended to strangers and friends to attend any or all services.
