Closing Day at Earnest School Ends With Dinner and Music
The Earnest school at No 8 held a Friday closing day dinner with baskets from parents and a 30 ft long table. Photographer Arthur Lineback captured the scene as students performed solos duets choruses recitations dialogues and a march under shade trees. The small 50 year old house with the largest township enrollment sparked calls for a newer building, though a World’s Fair photo memory remains.
