Amos Gates Dies at Country Home in Indiana
Amos F Gates 78 died Friday night at 8 15 at his home north of town on the Knightstown road from dropsy after three years of illness. He farmed most of his life and belonged to Fletcher M E Church. Surviving are three sons Herbert Gates Brazil Rev Edwin L Gates Dunkirk and John V Gates this place. Funeral Monday at ten at his home led by Rev J I Meyer with a duet by Mrs Frank Overman and Miss Grace Overman. Burial Riverside Cemetery attended by relatives from Brazil Indianapolis Greenfield Bloomington and others.
