Frank Morris Dies Suddenly At Home
Frank B. Morris a 76 year old farmer from west of Carthage was found dead at his home Saturday morning by Edward K. Fenner and son Elmer Fenner. Coroner Dr. R O Kennedy said he probably died around six oclock. A milk pail at Friday eve ning and a lamp in the house are noted. He was born May 26 1894 in Wayne county to Nathan and Phar Morris and later married Rebecca Kennard after the death of his first wife Anna White. Surviving are a sister Mrs Elizabeth Sweet of Portland Oregon and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Thompson Funeral Home with Rev Walter McAdams and Rev Charles S Winslow officiating. Burial was in Walnut Ridge cemetery.

Shooting Affray Leads To Arrests in Rushville
Elmer Ross DeWitt 39, charged with assault and intent to murder after a shooting that wounded Leslie Zornes 37 near the DeWitt home on South Main Street. DeWitt and his wife were arrested and released on bonds while Oscar Donoho faces arrest. Zornes is hospitalized in serious condition. Also, Democratic candidate Frank Unger will speak at Rushville October 28 at 8 p.m.
