Robbery occurred at Miss Hazel Hill's residence likely Saturday night or Sunday. Front door left unlocked at discovery time 4 p m. Suitcases and a trunk were broken into and items taken while Miss Hill was away preparing to depart for Indianapolis. Investigation ongoing.
Charles E Rich age 63 died Sunday at his home in Dunreith. He owned the local elevator business.
The Checker Board reports Reverend J I Meyer and family will move Friday to the new parsonage. Frank Overman and family will relocate to the old parsonage. Jasper Kennedy and family near Westland will move to the farm south of town vacated by Mr Overman.
Mrs Grant Henley remains ill over several days. Ed Adkins shows no improvement this week. Mrs Kolema Hahn of Indianapolis remains seriously ill at the start of the week. Subscribe for the Citisen.
