Thieves Take Forty Hens From Durack Farm Near Fortville
Mr and Mrs Lawrence Durack two miles west of Fortville report 40 hens valued at 1 50 each stolen. Deputy Armin Kleiman investigated but found no clues. Fifty hens remained and breakfast served while a noon egg tally revealed a three dozen shortage. This marks the first chicken theft in six months.

Tenderfoot Scouts from Troop 26 Carthage will attend two over night camporees in the next two weeks. Knightstown school officials announced Herod Toon of Milroy will replace Al Brown as Milroy basketball coach next season. Toon, a Butler University graduate, coached the Cardinals for three years with an overall record of 22 wins and 36 losses.
