School concert raises funds at district event
A Friday district school event featured Mrs Paul Moiis and Su Dipsey with music by the Gates Orchestra. Proceeds totaled $46.05. The Camp Fire Girls donated $20 to the auditorium fund for Carthage, framing the effort as for the town rather than against it.

Soldier Held Under Bond Set
George Montague a war veteran who lost an arm and appeared in a soldier show here recently was arrested in Indianapolis after an alleged elopement with a Rushville girl. He was taken to Rushville and held on a $1000 bond unable to post. He denied having a wife in New Castle as charged and Indianapolis police found his story not true.
