Death of Mrs. Alice Jordan in Fletcher community
Mrs. Alice Jordan aged 57 died at her Fletcher home after a two year illness and a paralysis stroke. Her daughter Mrs. John Brooks forced entry when she could not answer the 7:46 am call. She leaves four children and two brothers, with funeral at Fletcher M E church Friday at two led by Rev N I Schoolfield and burial at Glencove Cemetery Knightstown.

Fred Sims of Carthage has been chosen for the leading role in Vic tor Herbert's The Only Girl to be presented at Indiana university late March. The production replaces the Jordan River Revue, the I A students annual musical comedy. Sims, member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, led last year's Jordan River Revue and will play Alan Kimbrough a New York man about town.

Local Man Jesse Binford Killed in Highway Crash
Jesse Binford aged 55, son of Johnathan and Mary Binford, died instantly when his bicycle collided with a truck on U S road 52 west of Arlington last Friday at 2 30. He was born June 21 1877 near here and lived alone on Water Street. Survived by sister Mrs Anna E Anderson and brothers Henry and Calvin. Funeral Sunday at the Friends church with Rev Pickett officiating. Burial in Friends church cemetery.

Rumor circulated that Syracuse New York Public Library may cut book service to ward patients due to budget cuts. Four hospital superintendents protested, saying the service aids patient recovery. Funeral of Mrs Anderson in East Hill Cemetery
Funeral services for Harriet Walker Anderson were held at 2 30 pm at the home of Mrs Minnie Adkins. She was born August 23 1852 near Rushville Indiana lived in Edinburg and Anderson and was buried at East Hill Cemetery after a Christian service and prayer psalms. Survivors include two children Edward and Mrs Minnie Adkins and her second husband J J Anderson. Many relatives attended from Indiana towns including Rushville Edinburg and Indianapolis.

Noah Reddick born January 2 1868 on the family farm died February 26 1933 at age 65 after a period of illness. He married Elva Stanley in 1889 and leaves widow Mrs Elva Reddick and children Mabel Ellison Ross Corte Jesse Frank and Elizabeth Leisure with several siblings. Minstrel Show by Owls Club Draws Crowd at Carthage
The Owls Club from Sandely School classes performed a Minstrel Show at Carthage Auditorium last Tuesday night. Sixteen boys from two classes were aided by Elmer Porter and Hoyt Addison and directed by Mrs. A J Carr who also accompanied on the piano. A net profit of eight dollars will fund a summer camping trip.
