Grant Henley led the business session, new committees were formed, and playground projects were discussed alongside a possible relocation by John F. A straw truck going to Carthage overturned on a rural road Thursday evening, dumping its load and rolling down a steep embankment near Blue River. The vehicle struck a tree at the river edge. the driver suffered only bruises and shock, and the truck was not badly damaged.

Albert Ab Tuttle a local colored youth is sent to Plainfield after being caught peeping into a home Monday night. He had previously pled not to repeat the offense after a February arrest by Marshal McCorkle. Bud Smith nabbed him at 11 pm and held him until authorities arrived. The boy was returned to school to serve until age 21 for breaking training rules.

Mr and Mrs A W Winfield attended the Butler Fieldhouse baccalaureate service Sunday with a reception for seniors and parents in the Formal Garden. On Monday they joined Mr and Mrs Russell Pickett of Vevay at the 85th annual commencement in Butler Fieldhouse followed by a luncheon at the Kappa House. Ramona Winfield received her A B degree as four hundred degrees were awarded including three honorary degrees.
