Milroy Man Killed In Freight-Train Incident
The body of Charles Hall, 23, was found early Friday south of Milroy near the Big Four tracks. He had returned from Williamsport after visiting a young woman. Authorities suspect he was struck by a freight train.

Small Fire Damages Second Floor in Knightstown Building
A small fire burned through the second floor of the Retherford Coal Co. building in Knightstown about 8:30 p m Monday. The Rosebud molasses factory is also housed there and the blaze began in a molasses cooker. Byron Retherford, former resident nearby, owns the coal plant.
