Fire destroys large barns and corn crib
Near Shelbyville last Friday afternoon two large barns and a double corn crib burned in smoldering ruins. Losses ranged from 12 000 to 15 000 dollars with some estimates at 20 000 dollars. Contents included 5 000 bushels of corn 1 000 bushels of oats 600 bushels of wheat two new wagons and assorted farm equipment a straw stack twenty tons of old hay and other items. No insurance was carried on the structures or contents. Cause not yet determined.
