Knightstown church groups wrap year with studies and entertainment

The Intermediate Bible Class closed a year of study on the Life of Christ and harmony of the gospels with completed books and plans for next year. The Missionary Society staged a Dixie Minstrel Show at the Auditorium, presented by the Ladies of the Christian Church with good attendance. Union services are set for Sunday at Fletcher M E with Rev W T Crawley in charge. Sunday School at 9:30, Morning Meeting at 10:30, C E at 6:30, union service 7:30.

East St. Christian Church Announces Services and Meetings

The East St. Christian Church led by Minister W. T. Crawley lists Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and worship at 10:30 a.m. Job Services at 7:30 p.m. Union services will be held at the Methodist church with Crawley delivering the sermon. The Young People’s Society meets Tuesday evening at the church. leader is Ellen DeSchipper. Christian Helpers met Thursday afternoon at Mrs. Ora Henley’s home with Ina Rhones and Joanna Gibson assisting.

Thelma Kennedy of Knightstown is the sole woman in Indiana's state air tour who owns and pilots her own plane. She and her father run Kennedy Motor Sales Ford dealership in Knightstown and have been active in aviation for two years. Also noted are visits by Mrs. Omar Cooley of Hamilton and Misses Thelma and Zelma Shaffer to Knightstown, plus a local birth announcement for Dalton Lavere Jr. in Indianapolis.
