Mrs Joe Porter is slowly recovering at her home from injuries from a fall into a basement at Manuel Grocery. Mrs Fred McManus remains about the same at Carthage home. Mrs Fay Burkher returned home last Friday from major surgery. Mrs Finley Smith had major surgery January 7 at Henry County Hospital and returned home Tuesday. Everett Webb is much improved at Arlington with his daughter Mrs Thomas Alexander. Ralph Moore underwent major surgery last week at Hancock County Hospital Greenfield.

Purdue University statisticians report Indiana farmers seeded 1,333,000 acres in wheat last fall, up 13 percent from 1,180,000 acres in 1961. They forecast a 1963 Indiana wheat crop of 42,656,000 bushels, about 10 percent higher than 1962, with conditions noting nearly ideal fall planting and some delayed harvest in central and eastern counties.

Classes include art, bookkeeping, blueprints, machine sewing and shop work, shorthand, welding, driver training, knitting, reading, engine repair, business communications, and more. Injunction Suit Dismissed In Henry County School Plan Battle
Judge Ratliff dissolved a restraining order and denied a temporary injunction in the clash over Henry County plans to absorb a mile square area from Rush County for a school revamp. Ishmael Knoy and Jesse Leisure lead the county faction seeking to block the move. about 21 students are affected, with most remaining in current schools for the year. Knightstown officials allow students to stay and tax funds will not be drawn before July 1.
