Longtime Carthage merchant E T Coffin semi retires after 49 years
The first of the year brings business changes in Carthage as E T Coffin begins partial retirement after a 49 year career. He started in a dry goods store with Lindley Hackett and Hezekiah Clark, later ran a grocery, and has been a pall bearer and friendly dealer on the same corner. He will still help at Henley’s on Saturdays.
