A telegram reports the death of Mrs Sue Holloway widow of Capt David S Holloway lifelong Ripley township resident born April 11 1832 in Maryland. Survived by sons David E and Dahlia funeral held at Grand View Washington at the Skirving home. Mrs Holloway spent end of 1910 to September with Mrs Dahlia Morris in Newberg Oregon and sent Christmas box to John Bentley and Ruth A Henley.
Mrs Zella Publow dies suddenly from a perforating gastric ulcer after years of slow illness. Funeral from the Friends Church in Carthage draws large crowds. relatives from Greenfield Indianapolis Knightstown Indianapolis and beyond attend.
obituary notes Zella Bun dy Publow born April 25 1891 died December 23 1911 at age 20 with a wholesome Christian life. She excelled in Carthage High School class of 1909 and studied a year at the State Normal. Her brother recalls she never spent a gloomy day.
The notice states January hours: close at 6 PM on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays while remaining open on Tuesdays Thursdays and Saturdays. This creates a weekday pattern with three closed evenings and three open days per week.
