Miss Betty Moore daughter of Mr and Mrs Jack Moore and Carlos Brooks son of Mr and Mrs Orville G Brooks of near Mays wed in a Wednesday ceremony at two oclock at Rev Frank C Guyatts Dublin home. Bride wore aqua gown with dubon naire accessories and a rose bud cor sage. Attendants were Mr and Mrs Robert Moore. After a short wedding trip they will live in Mays.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at Wesleyan Methodist Church in Carthage. Rev. W. G. Manchester officiated. He is survived by his parents and several brothers and sisters.

Around eleven o clock Thursday a four-man crew in a car with a masked plate robbed Carthage Bank. They forced employees to the floor and took about $1000 in currency and silverware used as a carry all. The safe time lock could not be opened and no securities were taken. The robbers fled in a black Packard toward Mays, while townsfolk fired at the car though no hits were confirmed. Local police alerted as the town braced for more details next week.
As the 1936 construction and improvement program closes, only sixteen detours stay active on Indiana's state highway system. James D. Adams, chairman of the State Highway Commission, said the peak season saw seventy detours in operation. Additional run-arounds exist at two bridging sites and two sections warn motorists to slow near workers finishing shoulders.
The Auditorium will be closed during Christmas week. No performances or public events will be held, and no bookings or ticket services will operate during the holiday shutdown.
