Former Resident Dies in Indianapolis Rhoades 69
Albert L. Rhoades 69, a former Carthage resident and son of the late Cyrus and wife, died Monday in Indianapolis where he had lived about 30 years as an automobile mechanic. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon with burial in Glen Haven cemetery. Survivors include his widow Ethel, two daughters Mrs. Doniti Gillespie and Miss Dolores Cochrane, both of Indianapolis, and sister Mrs. Daisy Henley of Jonesboro.

Commodore Morton D. Willcutts a Greentown native now assistant chief of the Naval Bureau of Medicine and Surgery was nominated for promotion to rear admiral.
