In Greenfield on Friday, Charles L. Tindall 62, a noted attorney, died after being shot by Bert Swain a longtime adversary in a divorce case. Swain then shot himself, dying later. The killings follow a divorce ruling granting Eunice Swain alimony and child support for Evelyn and Jackie.

Former residents' licenses revoked after DWI case
Frank Cassidy and Donald Addison of Homer had their drivers licenses revoked in Shelbyville city court after pleading guilty to drunken driving. The pair were in a car that struck a manure spreader on State Road 29 eight miles northwest of Shelbyville causing Willie Eck to be thrown aside. Despite heavy rain last Sunday a dog show and field trials near Arlington on Kennedy and Posey farm drew crowds and 75 dogs. Dick owned by Clarence Henley won the Shooting Dog stake and is eligible for the upcoming state contest at Versailles. Other Rush County dogs placed in various stakes and trophies were awarded by the Rush County Conservation Club in cooperation with the state Bird Dog Association.
