Scout Plans Announced for Carthage Cub Scout Pack
The Carthage Cub Scout committee met March 30 at Al Nelsons home to organize three dens. Al Nelson is Cubmaster, Char les Whitfield assistant, Frank Hampton secretary treasurer, with Dr Richard McNabb and James Ellis as representatives. Army Sgt. John R. Hinshaw of Carthage joins 8th Division 504th Infantry in Operation Fer De Lance near Pau France. A daily air drop and field maneuvers test small airborne units in darkness and low visibility. Hinshaw entered the Army in 1955, arrived overseas in 1958, and is a Carthage High School graduate.
