FHA DISTRICT MEETING AND C-M SOCCER VICTORIES

FHA district meeting on October 12 1978 in Council Bluffs Iowa Western featured numerous schools including Carson Macedonia Griswold Oakland Anita Fremont Mills Malvern Treynor and Sidney. C M soccer beat Oakland 5 0 with Danny Annan scoring as 3 6 grades added a 3 2 win Darrell Frain and Will Pennington scored for C M while Troy Thompson and Ray Confirst credited with Oakland goals. Officers elected include Teresa Lawler Glenwood President Carla Dow South Page Vice President Debbie Gregg Fremont Mills Treasurer Lisa Pelzer Griswold Secretary and Paula Shriver Carson Macedonia Historian.

MM Club hosts Civic and 20th Century clubs Night

The MM Club's guest night entertained the Women's Civic Club and the 20th Century Club with Lorraine Davenport and Norma McKenzie greeting in Hallo ween costumes. Connie Denton of Omaha narrated a Mary Kay cosmetics style show, with Joyce Hackett providing music and a large group of members modeling. Door prizes went to Ann Killinger and Dene Goos. A 69-guest salad bar was served.

Underwood Eagles hold off C-M Panthers 46 28 in football

Underwood built a 27 0 halftime lead and defeated Carson-Macedonia 46 28. John Batten ran 72 yards for CM’s first TD and again 52 yards for his second. Tim Todd added 95 rushing yards and Wright connected on several plays as CM narrowed the gap but could not overcome the early surge.
