Moments to Remember Service Honors Longtime Church Members

A special Moments to Remember service at Carson Methodist Church honored members with 50 or more years of membership. Three present were Mrs Charlotte Campbell Mrs Helena Hendrix and Mrs Lorna Phillips. Mrs Jane Larimer sang I Walked Today Where Jesus Walked. Absent were Mrs Evelyn Haines and Glen Harvey.

Women Civic Club News and Local Socials

The Womens Civic Club met at Mrs Violet Bowes for a 1:30 dessert luncheon on Thursday October 5th. Reports from Ruth Henry and Marjorie Cowling covered the 7th district convention in Emerson Iowa. A USDA talk by Mr Charles Scherle from Oakland featured slides and a Q and A. Seventeen members attended the MM Club meeting hosted by Mildred Palmer with Corrine Price as co hostess.

Hospital Admissions and Updates in Cass County and Nearby

Bly Shrader was admitted Saturday afternoon to Cass County Hospital in Atlantic with pneumonia and is improving. Mrs Frank Grout was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital on Sunday. Mrs Jim Taylor was taken to JE Hospital on Sunday. Don Mincer was admitted to Red Oak Hospital Thursday for tests and a checkup and came home Friday evening.
