Mrs Walter Rieber admitted to JE Hospital Thursday for toe surgery and is doing excellently.

C M Wins Co Champs Title In Last Inning Rally
C M scored the final two runs in the last inning to beat Carter Lake 7 6 and claim the co champions. Carter Lake led early with two runs in the first, C M answered with one on Jim Shannon’s walk and steal and D Frain’s RBI single. The game featured key plays by Galen Forristall and Meredith Carr, whose third inning triple scored Frain and turned into the winning run on a misplay. The victory sets C M up for districts at Walnut starting Wednesday, July 17.

The C-M Cubs defeated Avoca 7 to 2 to capture the county tournament. Ed McClain earned the victory with strong support from the C-M offense. L Herbert opened the scoring in the first, singling, stealing second, and scoring on K Freeman's single. Kevin later scored on David Coon's sacrifice to the third baseman.

Gran'donia Apartments name was announced at a community dedication led by Rev Don Johnson with the MCDC. In district play, C-M fell to Pisgah 5-3 after first inning errors, finishing 13-3 and claiming the county championship.
