Report from Dallas outlines Democrats gathering for their Texas state convention with speeches and platform debates. The piece notes factional tensions and brief scuffles after the event as candidates and party members voiced support for their progressive platform ahead of the November election.
The Rev. C D Horoy and wife of Piret Baptist church were pounded Wednesday night at the prayer meeting. A surprise to those on the fold, Rev Hardy urged contributions and to those who guessed it, it was as welcome as May flowers. Dr. and Mrs. J Frank of Furch Eva Branch were in Cyrrottion, the doctor subscribing to the Chronicle. Wiltin performed a marriage ceremony for a couple at the Savurday night temple. The couple were Wm A McVonsld and Miss Marths Metcaltn, accompanied to Carrollvon by friends. George Myers plans a new roof for the north store building he occupies and expects rain.
The Rev. L A Hansen 85 longtime North Texas Methodist leader and Dallas resident died in California. Survived by wife Libbie Hansen of Pasadena and two daughters in Dallas. pastored Carrollton and Farmers Branch churches from 1908. Garland News notes local insurance rate discussions and community issues.
Dallas County Federation of Clubs presents an art exhibit at the Dallas County Rest Room as the first meeting of the year on September 29 1926. The program committee lists Mrs HI W Talliterro of Furmot Bradeh Mrs Java Kimberly of Cockrell Hill Mrs ilu Brown of Dallas and others. Exhibits welcome from any artist friend with plainly written labels. Pictures due by September 27 and may be submitted until 10 am September 28 with best space given. Short program scheduled with parliamentary drill and talks on art followed by readings and song. No prizes and awards. admission open to all.
Carrollton will begin two bus routes to transport students from outside districts to and from the high school. The schedules and operating times will be announced and start Monday with the new term.
The Gaprallton Social and Civic Club met on Thursday September 6 with Mrs. J. Mt Alton leading a drill in parlor commentary and six members giving waxon dialogue. Seventeen attended. adjournment set for September 20 with Mrs. 5, We Burnett, on education. Guests in Trinity Mills included Rev D A Ross and others from Carrullion and Arcadia Park. local talk on club cooperation and community work.

Revivals are ongoing at the First Baptist Church with morning and evening services at 745. A nightly gathering invites all, with a welcome for newcomers. Mrs. Pat Marshall and her son Neal of Giltier visited yesterday. a detour near Wills Point caused damage to her car and it was left for repairs. Formal opening exercises begin Monday morning.
