The DeWitt Perry Junior High PTA will install officers on Monday May 17 with Mrs Virginia Owens in charge. This is the final meeting of the year and the annual banquet for honor students will be held May 20 at Young Bloods. all are invited.

Genie Lee Jones, a R L Turner High School graduate, will attend North Texas State University as a home economics major. She holds roles in Library Club Future Scientists of America Y-Teens and Future Homemakers parliamentarian. The Carrollton Women’s Club presented the 1965 66 Bernice Godfrey Scholarship.
The Lambda Rho chapter hosted a Coke party at Mrs. Lewell Buchanan's home on March 17 with Mrs. Karen Sherman and Mrs. Laverne Berris attending. They also enjoyed the Dallas Theater Center production Rain on April 1 and a Founders Day banquet at Hotel Baker on April 29 where Mrs. Linda Cooper was honored as Girl of the Year.
On March 23 the group met at Mrs. Pat Roll’s home to elect year officers. President Mrs. Roll, vice-president Mrs. Del Freeman, secretary Mrs. Phyllis Newell, treasurer Mrs. Dale Erickson, and city council rep Mrs. Buchanan. Rosemary Brumley spoke on The Printed Word in Your Life.
