Cancer Crusade urged to meet statewide $500000 goal
Texas A&M System Chancellor Gilchrist urged Cancer Crusade workers to continue county drives until the $500,000 statewide goal is reached. By May only $218,087 had been reported from four counties with 123 counties still to hear from. Volunteers spread cancer awareness and collect contributions to fund research education and services.

Funeral Services Held for Mrs Alice Davis Monday
Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Hila beth Davis age 84 were held Monday at 10 a.m. at Hebron Baptist Church with Rev. Motlung officiating.
