Dog vaccination drive at Carrollton marks success

In Carrollton a one day dog vaccination event drew about 10 dogs and their owners. Dr Aethar Knoxt and local vet staff offered vaccines all day at Bill Halling Store. Ames Chamber manager praised turnout as the community supported the effort. Mayor Jude Wlanton called the drive a success.

Chronicle Secures More Newsprint And Subscribership Drive

The Carronton Chronicle reports securing additional newsprint after six months of negotiation with a Dallas paper company. A seven column page expansion will allow more news, pictures, and advertising, replacing the current style. The April edition will feature changes and fewer standard columns per page. The paper will launch a subscriber drive offering prizes including a $40 bicycle and other items to boost circulation among surrounding communities. Union Easter Sunrise Service at Methodist Church

Union Easter sunrise service is set for the Methodist Church at 8 o clock Sunday morning with Rev John Gruber delivering the sermon. The service will be broadcast over the church amplified system using a microphone for organ music and spoken messages, aided by a gift from Mr. and Mrs. W T Squibt including a Harmond Organ and chimes.

At the First Baptist Church a Young Adult group in Br.U held a Tuesday night fish supper. Men cooked and served the meal, praised by attendees. About 40 people were present, with 10 taking part in the feed.
