In a reminiscence, residents recall Aunt Cat seeking the brand Four Homes mince for cookies. Ollivene Patterson and Mae McRight visit with a platter of cookies and a carton labeled Four Homes mince, proving Aunt Cat’s brand knowledge and baking skill.
Mrs. G. W. Myers entertained guests at a Tuesday night buffet supper announcing the approaching marriage of her daughter to Ray Ogie of IL. The wedding is set for Thursday April 6 at the First Baptist church with reception and dining rooms decorated in pink and green and fruit blossoms.
In Dallas County tennia preliminaries and finals were held at Calve Ave Park and MU. Girls singles were led by Teddalu McCoy with Loui Myers substituting. Girls doubles featured Evelyn Pearl Money and Norma Jon Lewis, with Damon Emory Berryhill winning the first match before substitution by Jont the Redond. Boys doubles were played by J W McClcken and Charles Chae tatty.
Carrollton Grade School girls team advances to the county championship after a Friday game. Coach Miss Pay McMillan leads the squad as the junior boys’ side also reaches the next round. Meade School boys stumble, while Ipome Tag and Yeonavery game details remain unclear.
Hear Yel Hear Ye! Ye Sinus Victims Awatin Texas March 20. A UT pharmacy student Janus Boone and Evans discuss poppy seed oil from France used in sinus remedies. The oil is said to offer iodine-based therapeutic powers for sinus trouble as research advances.

Dr. E W Alderson 84 longtime North Texas Methodist minister died Thursday night in Dallas after a career spanning fifty years in the North Texas Conference He taught Old Testament at Southern Methodist University in 1921 22 and served as presiding elder to Dallas Survivors include his wife and two children His death marks the loss of one of the conference’s most learned figures in biblical knowledge and ministry.
