B H Himnop Waa was hospitalized in Dallas on Christmas Day with a severe stroke. He suffered a neurology attack and received prompt care. By midweek he was improving and progressing well. Ms. Bishop was released from the hospital Tuesday evening and is reported to be doing nicely.

The Christian church presented a Christmas program on Thursday night December 28. Interesting readings and songs were shared with a large audience of members and friends. Gifts from the tree and fruits and candies were distributed to attendees.
Lloyd McKamy was hospitalized for a week with a serious condition but recovered enough to return home last Friday. He remains in improving health and will require periodic care from his physician in the days ahead.
Sima ta Hospital Ed Sims Wah was carried to St Paul hospital last Saturday with pneumonia and was in turn taken for care. Reports say he is doing nicely. School vacation will end and classes resume on Monday morning.

W. Gammon, longtime Vandergrift Chevrolet employee, died at St. Paul hospital in Dallas on Tuesday morning December 28, 1997 after pneumonia and complications. Funeral held at First Baptist Church with Rev. Tayor and two other ministers officiating. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Survivors include wife Mrs. W. T. Gammon three sons and three daughters, two sisters and two brothers.
