State Breeders Seek National Poultry Honors

Frank W Allenson of Stenhant and Western Hatchersen of Dallas will represent Tees In the 1940 finals of the National Chicken of Tomorrow contest. The final competition will conclude a three year search by the poultry industry for a superior meat type chicken. From hundreds of poultry men in 44 states who competed regionally, 40 finalists were named to vie for a grand prize of 9000 and runner up awards funded by A and P Food Stores to spur improved poultry meat production. The finals occur next spring with judging in Delaware. Winning breeders will be showcased at Chicken of Tomorrow Day in Georgetown next June 24. Western Hatcheries placed second in the state trials and White Rock-White Wyandott led in the Southwest Regional.

Conn Family Christmas Reunion Brightens Holiday Scene
