The countywide election saw voters reject a proposed new court house. The report notes a large farmer vote aided by rain, with turnout affected by weather. Precinct results listed show strong opposition in key areas as other constitutional amendments were also on the ballot.
The Methodist Church will hold Sunday School at the usual hour and the 11 o'clock sermon by Rev. R. S. Kerr. Evening Young People's meeting returns to the usual home, but no sermon at the Union Baptist revival time. Welcome is extended to Mr. and Mrs. John Gun Mream visiting Carrollton while locating a home. Dallas will be headquarters for Mr Gunstream as Deputy State School Superintendent for the district.
The report notes that Marvin Wy Te is undergoing mes surgery with eye procedures showing improvement. Doctors expect continued healing with gradual restoration of sight and minimal side effects.

Harry A. Coomer, longtime owner and manager of Cyrrallion Telephone Exchange and affiliate lines, died Saturday morning at Baylor hospital aged 72. Born in Ohio, he lived in Oklahoma areas including Hehion and Ardmore, with wife Mrs. Laid Coomer and family surviving. Funeral services were held at the Kao South Chapel with interment in Grove Lawn cemetery. community members expressed deep sympathy.

Our local minister and his family have purchased a Chevrolet and now travel to Yama areas for meals. RM Kerr, son of the Rev, recently united with Miss Jimmie Paradise of Paria. They will reside in Ranls where he is assistant manager at Duke & Ayers store. Help your town, bake Carrollton.
Buck Frank’s team dominates a Sole ball contest amid a County Fair crowd. Seven Rick Frank boys scored. Field boys blocked scoring, entertaining spectators. Upcoming Friday August 27 features Currailton vs Cham, promising an Arlington crowd payoff and a display of champion play.
Mr and Mrs Waller Stark bought a 453 acre Denton county farm three miles north of the court house on the Pilot Point Highway. About 100 acres are in pasture with ample water, a Loom residence, large barns, and outbuildings. They will take possession in December, stock it after improvements, and plan modern electrical upgrades to ensure bright lights even if gas runs out. Denton’s town amenities add value for future years.
A skating rink that had been in Carrollton for three months moved to Collinsville in Grayson County the first of the week. Mr Kimball has been in the area for some time and was urged to return this fall. A weekly Letter from Home was sent from Dallas and joined counties.
Nigh School football begins at Ramgey Field with twenty candidates reporting. Lettermen and squad members from last year practice under coach Als Browning. names include Montgomery, Parkey, Gentry, Glidewell, and Knight among others as the team limbers up and prepares for the preseason schedule.
Perry Bros plan to relocate their drag line from the Mra Fasnie Perry gravel bed one mile west of Carrollton to a site three miles southwest of Farmers Branch along the Trinity river. The new property belongs to Bob Johnston and hosts a large gravel deposit, promising a long season of work.
Building activity in Carrollton shows steady improvement with the Lyon- Gray lumber yard increasing output. Managers report ongoing projects through the month and into a second consecutive month of high activity, signaling a busy period for local workers and the yard overall.
