Congressman Tom Latham will hold an Action for Iowa Community Meeting on Saturday January 19 at 1030 a.m. in the Carroll City Council Chambers. He cites bipartisan efforts with Congress and President Bush to heighten homeland security and wants resident input on security and other family issues.
The Carroll Chamber of Commerce sponsored forums resume January 19 at 10 a.m. at New Hope Village with Senator Jerry Behn and Representative Rod Roberts. Forums continue biweekly during the legislative session, with subsequent Feb 2 meeting at the Coon Rapids Municipal Building. The Chamber Legislative Committee also plans pre election forums and Carroll County Day at the Capitol.
