The Carroll Area FFA returned from the state convention with numerous honors. The Farm Business Management team won silver while individuals Alicia Clancy earned gold Tom Willenberg and Marty Danner silver Luke Feld bronze. Silver in Greenhand Quiz went to Nathan Nieland Brandi Merrick. Bronze for reporters book and treasurer's book. The chapter received Supreme and Superior Chapter awards plus 100 percent membership WHO Public Relations Journal Award and Academic Achievement Award. State Job Interview and Officer Candidate Interviews also earned recognition.
The 35th annual Carroll County Historical Society meeting will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Historical Museum Carroll. Marilyn Setzler will report on county history for a book This Place Called Carroll County. Open house follows May 5 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Carnegie library building Court Street.
