Heroes Day Observed in Haddon Township Meeting
A Sunday night public meeting at the high school auditorium honored Heroes Day. Gilbert W. Gambill, chair of the County Council of Defense, read proclamations by Governor Goodrich and Vice President Marshall and spoke on home duties and service overseas. Reverend Martin Sorensen introduced him and traced German militarism from 1860 to today, explaining the war’s cause. The event was conducted by the Deferred Class Men's Organization of Haddon Township.
