Doctor Kidnapped for Honor Feast in Terre Haute
Dr J Stanley Brown of Carlisle was surprised as guest of honor at a Hippodrome theatre party and King Len Inn dinner in Terre Haute on Tuesday night. He believed it was a professional call but learned he was the unwitting centerpiece of a prank by Dr C E Whipps and others. Fifty-five miles away in Carlisle, the bill for tickets and meals totaled 85 dollars, which Brown ultimately paid before learning the jokes and gifts were all prepaid. The party of thirty five included Dr Whipps and listed Carlisle friends and colleagues.
