Rural Delivery Changes Again in Sullivan County Routes Updated
Rural delivery in Sullivan County was revised effective Thursday September 21 with the Carlisle and Pleasantville offices adjusting routes. Route A replaces motor Route, Routes 1 and 2 cover wagon service. Ed Pirtle loses his route while Paul Shepherd, Greeley Risher, and Roy McCormick retain or adjust routes with new territorial boundaries. Pleasantville's route remains largely unchanged under Bynum Alsman.

Carlisle joint high school dispute settled by agreement
The injunction suit by T C Woodward trustee against the Carlisle school board over using the new joint high school building was settled by agreement. The board and township settle the township’s share of last term expenses, five teachers are to be employed, and Mrs C O Self becomes principal. The term starts September 18 with eight months.
