Railroad settles with Sullivan Pathfinders in depot dispute
The E and T H railroad paid $10 to 39 members of the Sullivan Pathfinders lodge for damages from being denied wait time in Carlisle depot in March 1904. Leone Draper sued for $1,000 and won in the supreme court. Miss Draper also offered $10 but refused.

Mrs Penelope Jones died Friday at her son Lewis Jones home in Jefferson South about six miles east of Carlisle. She was 76 and leaves four children George Lewis John Jones and Mrs James Bishop. Funeral services were held Saturday at Indian Prairie church by Rev L Merriman. Burial followed at Indian Prairie cemetery.

Ice Cream Supper Moved Indoors By Rain
Rain forced the Methodist church ladies to hold an ice cream supper in A R Orr's new building instead of the school yard. Carlisle band played, about 20 gallons of ice cream and many cakes were sold, receipts totaling 38 dollars. A freezer opened to find half full. cause of missing cream unknown.
