Paxton Merchant Drowns In Busseron Creek
Clifford T. Woodward of Paxton and Carlisle, 24, drowned while seining in Busseron Creek near Scottsville. He vanished while near the bank, efforts to reach him failed, and his body was recovered about 45 minutes later. He left a wife Ora and son Wayne, with parents T. C. and Mrs. Woodward.

Edward Risinger Fatally Injured in Mine Accident
Edward Risinger, trapper for Chicago Carlisle Coal Co, was fatally injured at about one o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the mine. He fell from a tail chain and was crushed by two coal cars, dying en route to Sullivan County Hospital. Funeral held at his home with burial in I.O.O.F. cemetery. son of George Risinger and Mrs. Henry Caughey, born Carlisle October 1, 1904, aged 14 years 11 months 16 days, survived by both parents.

Stephen C. Plummer, age 75, died at his home north east of Carlisle Monday morning after a short illness. He was born February 22, 1844 in Marion County Indiana and had lived in Haddon Township many years. Survived by wife, three sons Milton Charles Clyde all of Haddon, and daughters Edna Charleton of Butte Central Canada and Mrs Willie Davidson of Spencer. Funeral services were held at home Tuesday morning with burial in Trimble cemetery.
