Aged Lady Nancy A Latshaw Dies at 84 in Haddon Township
Nancy A Latshaw aged 84 of Haddon Township died August 26 at the home of her daughter Ellen Perry south of Carlisle after years of illness. She married Decatur Latshaw in 1852 and reared five children plus several foster and stepchildren. Funeral was at Shaker Prairie Christian church with Rev. L V Barbie officiating. interment followed.

Burned by Gasoline Stove Incident at Pirtle Building
Deeble Brothers presser firm owner Will Deeble received a painful burn on his right hand Saturday morning while trying to move a leaking gasoline stove from the pressing parlors in the Pirtle building. The flare threatened the building and he was unable to work for several days.

Home From Hospital After Bellevue Mine Blast
Thomas St. Clair, burned in the Bellevue coal mine gas explosion weeks ago, returned home Saturday from St. Anthony's hospital in Terre Haute. He was accompanied by Rollie Humphreys' bookkeeper at the mine. St. Clair has recovered remarkably well.
