George Childs brought back his fourteen year old son Otto from Greencastle where he had been summoned to take charge after the boy disappeared at the start of the prior week. He notified Terre Haute police and received word from Greencastle’s Chief of Police that Otto was being held for him.

Hancock verdict settles garage dispute suit at $5 damages
A Bloomfield jury found in favor of plaintiff Wm H Hancock in Hancock versus Roy Trimble awarding $5 damages on three counts. Hancock sought $30,000 total for alleged garage partnership dispute that led to a fight and his brief jailing. The case had previously been tried in Sullivan circuit court where the jury disagreed.

Missionary Rally Brings County Women Together at Sullivan
The Christian churches of Sullivan county held an all day missionary rally in Sullivan Friday. County president Mrs. W. A. Bailey opened the meeting with reports from county societies and remarks by Indiana Secretary Mrs. 0 H Greist. Teenager Fined Thirteen Dollars for Damaging Public Bench
In Sullivan in the court of Justice Scherb the youth known as Bunk Russell pleaded guilty to destroying a public bench in the school yard on a Sunday night. Town Marshal Riddel took him into custody and he paid a total fine and costs of thirteen dollars.

Infant Wilson Dies After Brief Illness
Infant son of Mr and Mrs John Wilson died Sunday morning at about ten o clock and was buried in the town cemetery at eleven. The family mourns the loss of their infant as services were held with relatives in attendance.
