Suit to Foreclose Vendor's Lien on Carlisle Lot
Luke Squires filed November 11 in Sullivan circuit court a suit to foreclose a vendor's lien for about 900 on part of Carlisle lot No. 48 where James D. Trout and George R. Trout formerly operated a saloon and opera house. The lien owner Richard A. Hoke sold the lot to the Trout brothers in 1898 and assigned the lien to Squires. Defendants include the Trout heirs and several creditors of the Trout brothers. Chas D. Hont represents Squires.
