Death of Mrs Margaret Bensinger
Obituary notes Mrs Margaret Bensinger wife of James Bensinger of the city died Monday morning after years of poor health. Born October 5 1868 she was 42 years old. She leaves husband three daughters Gretchen Ruby Catherine, and siblings Harriett Fairhurst Elizabeth Parks Nellie Bartley Mayme Williams Leander and Eugene Bartley. Interment was in I O O F cemetery after baptism in October 1910.

Carlisle to switch to acetylene gas street lighting
In Carlisle a new acetylene gas street lighting system will replace coal oil lamps by October 1 1911. A stock company funded by the town and twenty citizens will own the plant with a capital over 10000 dollars and gas mains planned along all streets for town and private use. A concrete gas house will be built and work to begin within two weeks.

Runaway Wreck Kills Horse in Sullivan County
James M. Trueblood and William York of Sullivan Fruit Market survived a Friday east of Carlisle near Freelandville after a runaway wagon caused their horses to bolt. A horse crashed on a road bridge, ending its life instantly, while the two men escaped injury.
