Notable Carlisle Area Woman Mable Ridgway Hale Dies
Mrs. Mable Ridgway Hale, beloved Carlisle area resident, died Sunday after a short illness shortly after giving birth to twin boys Frank Ridgway and George Minich. She was 27, survived by her husband Henry Hale, parents Mr. and Mrs. Ridgway, brothers Rush and Ivan, and many relatives. Funeral held Tuesday at the Carlisle Christian Church with Eastern Star members assisting and burial at local cemetery.

Girl Tries Suicide After Despair Over West End Life
Villa tlavs twenty years old attempted death by taking carbolic acid at 221 North Second street last Tuesday evening. Found in the yard, she was revived by a doctor. She admitted no further life use and planned no more efforts. Miss Hays had stirred in Linton by leaving home a year ago and was found in Sullivan.
