Lieutenant Ernest W. Force piloted a Curtis aeroplane in Carlisle per a noon exhibition under low clouds. The flight followed earlier displays in Sullivan county and included passengers Nelson Poynter and a local Liberty Loan official. The event marked the first aerial visit by such aviators to the county and ended with Force returning to Sullivan then on to Bloomington before Scott Field.

Trimble Fined In Court For Provocation
A Sullivan circuit court jury found Roy Trimble cashier of the First National Bank of Carlisle guilty of provocation against William Hancock of Carlisle. The sentence set his fine at 1 dollar and costs totaling about 50 dollars after a one day trial stemming from a January dispute over a garage business. Prosecutor M L Pigg represented the state.
