Paralysis claims NEte Alumbaugh dies at 65 on farm
Eponetus Alumbaugh known as Nete Alumbaugh died after a stroke of paralysis suffered while sawing wood at the Vester farm with his son Paul. He had been in poor health two years and had two prior light strokes. He was born August 21 1855 in Sullivan County and aged 65. He leaves his wife Ella Orndorff and six children, plus three sisters and three brothers. Funeral services were held at Carlisle Christian church.

The Junior Class presented Brother Josiah to good crowds on Friday and Saturday nights. An illness forced a last minute replacement who performed well with only a day to learn her part. About $100 was cleared to help fund the annual Junior reception to the Senior class.
