Carlisle Man Wanted In Indianapolis Court
A Carlisle man, Wm Hancock, was arrested on a bench warrant from Judge Frank J. Lahr in Indianapolis and jailed in Sullivan County. Indianapolis officers sought him Thursday after his wife and children moved to Indianapolis. Hancock reportedly failed to pay court-ordered support, with the charge of child neglect. Earl Rapp, weekend visitor to his parents Mr. and Mrs. Garfield Rapp, was noted attending Danville Normal School.

New Postmaster for Carlisle Named by Senate
Walter R. O Neal is named Carlisle postmaster after Senate confirmation on March 3. Mrs Chas Schu Injured in Carlisle Road Collision
Mrs Chas Schu and her son Ed win and granddaughter Cornelia Joy Sheetz of the city were in a wreck on the Sullivan Carlisle road three miles north of Carlisle last Thursday. Mrs Schu suffered a dislocated right hip and was taken home by ambulance with Dr Brown attending. The Illinois party included Mrs Myra Garrison Garland and Madge Cook en route to Evansville. Both Ford cars were badly damaged but no other injuries were reported.

Pleasantville Post Office Faces Possible Discontinuation
Pleasantville patrons were informed the post office may close on March 15 if no suitable postmaster candidate is named. The First Assistant Postmaster General advised that a candidate must be presented by that date to rescind the discontinuance, with Lotus Mitchell named as an applicant pending department approval.
